Building off of NECA’s Executive Management Institute, this class will take a deeper look at how small to mid-sized electrical contractors can focus on growing their business by finding new or enlarging existing opportunities. This course will discuss how you can take a leadership role in developing a strategic plan for activities and resource allocation to enable smart growth. Previous attendance at the Executive Management Institute is recommended, but not required.

Mark Federle
Mark Federle, PE, PhD, CPC, F. ASCE, CM-Lean
Mark Federle is currently the Associate Dean for Academic at Marquette University. Previously he was Chief Information Officer for The Weitz Company in Des Moines for 9 years. Prior to joining The Weitz Company, Federle was the Professor-in-Charge of Construction Engineering program at Iowa State University, where he taught for nine years. Mark earned his PhD and Masters in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan. Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Professional Constructor. Mark was awarded The Career Achievement Award by Rose-Hulman in 2005. He was recognized by AGC of America as Instructor of the Year in 2011. He serves on the Lean Education Steering Committee for AGC, has taught all 7 units multiple times and is co-author of Unit 7. He is a Fellow of ASCE. -
Chris Jaskiewicz
Chris has been working in the Construction Industry for over 23 years. In 1995, he was hired as a CAD operator for a small electrical contractor in Youngstown, OH. As the company grew, he served in many roles for the company: warehouse, estimator, project manager, and division manager. In 2006 he was promoted to COO and a few years later, President. The company recognized continuous growth and improvement during his time as President. In addition, he helped transform the company into a General Contractor. In 2014 they were listed as one of the (200) largest Construction Companies in the United States. In July of 2015, Chris combined his passion for teaching and business to create HopeStar. HopeStar provides coaching and support for construction related industries. We invest time and capital into companies seeking growth and expansion opportunities.
