Description

With the goals of producing a more qualified and knowledgeable workforce and addressing labor shortages, this session will highlight how one NECA member recruits, hires, trains and mentors CW/CEs. Steps for developing a comprehensive training and mentoring program, recruiting strategies and creating a path forward for these individuals will be discussed.

Speakers

  • Mike Reiser

    Mike is a Local 64 journeyman inside wireman. He has progressed into a project manager and holds a level 1 certificate as a thermographer. He is involved with the local NECA student chapter, LMCC, and carries his state fire alarm license. He has been in the construction industry for 9 years.

  • Laura Waldo

    Laura started VEC, Inc.’s VEC University. She has a background in education and has been responsible for all curriculum development for VEC, Inc. from professional development trainings to field leadership summits. She has worked for VEC, Inc. in the construction industry for 5 years and was an educator prior.
