Business owners spend a lifetime building a successful company and protecting what you have worked hard to achieve can be a challenge, especially when considering succession and estate planning. This session will discuss ways you can avoid frustration, taxation and litigation when the time comes to exit your business.

Speakers

  • Clifton Guise

    Clif has been in private practice since 2004, when he joined the firm as associate.  In 2009, he became the firm’s fourth partner.   In 2013 upon a partner’s retirement, Clif, Mark Halbruner, and Craig Hatch formed Halbruner, Hatch, and Guise, LLP.  Currently, they employ 5 attorneys and 7 support staff.  The primary focus of the firm is estate and succession planning, but requires expertise in business law, contracts, and estate planning and administration.

  • Nathan Sannes

    Nate Sannes in an accomplished leader at Federated Insurance.  Responsible for a team of more 50 B2B licensed insurance professionals, he has consistently earned Federated’s top-honors for exceptional client service.  Over his 13 career, it is his passion for ensuring that family businesses have the proper plans in place to successfully exit or transfer their legacy that has seperated him from his peers.  Nate earned a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation from American College  in 2011, the same year he was bestowed the Outstanding Young Alumni award from Bemidji State University where he Graduated Magna Cum Laude.  A devout family man from Cranberry, PA, Nate oversees the marketing responsibilities of Federated Insurance’s New England Region.
